What is a Company Driver?
Drives one of LTL's trucks and hauls an LTL trailer as an employee of Lewis Truck Lines.
Benefits?
1. Insurance - health, dental, vision, and life eligible after 60 days of employment
2. Paid Time Off - start receiving one week of vacation time annually after one year of employment
3. Home Time - yes, you are forced dispatch as a company driver, BUT we will always try to get you home on the weekends, or for your 34-hour reset
What is an Owner Operator?
An owner operator owns their own truck. Their truck is leased to Lewis Truck Lines and they operate under our authority.Â
Benefits?
1. Insurance - we offer Bobtail and Physical Damage insurance at a low cost
2. Trailer - LTL can provide you with a flatbed trailer or chassis if needed. We do not allow personal dry vans, as it is mostly drop-and-hook.
3. Home Time - owner operators are NOT forced dispatch, they can pick and choose their lanes.
